COVID-19 is tightening its grip on the country. The UK Government has urged businesses to work together to ramp up production of ventilators.
Europlaz is a privately owned company. We are also one of the top five manufacturers of medical devices and drug delivery devices in the UK. We conduct high-quality manufacturing in class 7 cleanrooms. This is certified to ISO 13485:2016 standards.
Although we have full design capabilities, the needs of the population and the timeframes outlined by the Government mean that we do not have enough time to offer our complete concept to completion process to help with this pandemic. In addition, we have the capacity for assembly of procedure packs and other consumables. These, alongside new ventilation equipment, will need to be supplied together.

Europlaz has been established for over 40 years and has extensive knowledge and experience in providing development and manufacturing technologies for the medical device, diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries.

Facilities
Europlaz occupies 60,000 sq ft and has state of the art, cleanroom manufacturing facilities covering over 9,500 sq ft. We have seven cleanrooms which are certified to ISO 14644-1 Class 7 and are specifically designed for processing class I and class II medical devices.
Injection moulding of medical grade polymers and dedicated assembly and packaging areas are all controlled and monitored by our Quality Department.
The latest digitally controlled machines are used to deliver high quality mouldings. We undertake routine air pressure, micro-organism and airborne particulate monitoring to ensure we always maintain first class standards. Facilities are continually upgraded and each year we allocate a large investment to ensure best standards are always maintained.
Flow sensors for ventilators
We are in discussions to fast track production of our flow sensors for ventilators. However, we are willing and able to begin production of other third-party products which would help with the increased demand for ventilators.
