Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Europlaz Technologies Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2045.
Baseline Year: 2021 | ||
Europlaz Technologies completed its first Scope 1 and 2 Baseline emissions calculations for 2021. The reporting standard adopted for these calculations was the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Scope 1 & 2 are completed on a consumption basis. Scope 3 was not being calculated at this time. | ||

Emissions Reduction Targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 86.9 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 50% from our baseline year
We Project that our scope 3 carbon emissions will decrease by 30% by 2030. This will be a decrease from 135.56 to 95.59.
Progress against these targets can be seen in the progress graph:
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 45.94 tCO2e, a 26.43% reduction against the 2021 baseline.
- Increased Installation of self-generated renewable electricity with our solar panels.
- Installed free to use electric vehicle charging points at our facility for staff and visitors
- Changed energy suppliers to source our grid electricity from renewable sources.
- Replaced old and inefficient lighting with LED’s including use of motion and daylight controls.
- Installation of triple insulated roofing across 24,000 square feet of buildings.
- Upgrading of equipment with energy efficient replacements
- Improving our energy efficiency through implementing successful shutdown checklists and better switching off education to staff.
- Continued measuring, monitoring and control of energy consumption through our environmental management system.
- Reduced our waste production by focusing on training and implementing waste reduction initiatives.

Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following are our plans and initiatives for the next five years that will help drive down our emissions to our goal of net zero.
- Aim for all transport vehicles to be electric by 2026 to eliminate all vehicle emissions in scope 1.
- Continuously work to collect the highest quality, primary data on our emissions to aid in reduction and progress measurement.
- Conduct feasibility studies on additional renewable energy sources.
- Improving our overall energy efficiency by better reporting and analysis of energy usage through energy maps and monthly targets.
Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives Continued
- Complete lifecycle studies on our products and our customers products.
- Explore feasibility of bio-based plastics, which will reduce embedded carbon emissions in products and packaging.
- Complete an environmental audit of our supplier base
- Reduce paper waste by implementing an online document management system and an e-signature solution to minimize paper usage and improve efficiency.
